Sleep Chant

Picture

This chant is helpful when trying to settle a busy mind and with children who have trouble settling.  It's also much better than counting sheep, I am not really sure anyone actually does count sheep anymore though.  If you prefer you can substitute any or all of the following to something that you are comfortable with or completely re write your own.  Any sleep chant should be quietly repeated at least 3 times & when chanting with children slow until they remember it by themselves.

I call to the sleep energies of night,
Help me sleep by your divine light,

Restful sleep wash over me,
Relax my mind that it be free,

Bring me to calm peaceful sleep tonight,
That I may wake rested in Suns Golden Light.

Simplified Version

Restful sleep wash over me,
Relaxed mind be free,
Deep sleep wash over me.
