Familiar Protection
Familiars are animals that choose you, they follow & spiritually guide those new to the alternative path. They are often cats however in our experience they have also been dogs, birds, horses & even a nanny goat. Familiars are naturally attuned to the moon & the natural cycles of the planet making them very helpful in teaching a heightened awareness to the natural environment around you.
Once a familiar has found and chosen you, you might like to use this spell to help keep within your property boundaries to help keep them safe. It is not always effective however for younger ones it can help until they become more street savvy.
Deities that are useful to invoke include Artemis, Diana, Anpu (Greek name Anubis), Heru (Greek name Horus), Bast/et or any deity you work with and are comfortable with.
You Will Need:
- A Piece of Paper & Pen
- A White Candle (tea light is a good one for this)
- An Incense of Your Choice, A Coal Tablet, Cauldron or Fire Proof Dish (*Optional)
You Are Ready:
- Use the incense to clear & cleanse you energy or you can have a cleansing bath/shower.
- Set up your sacred space, refer to Spell/Ritual Preparation.
- We use our altar, clearing enough space for the candle to sit in the middle, if you don't have an altar use a table/floor.
- Focus on the intent of keeping your familiar safe and with your boundaries.
- Cast a circle and draw your familiar into it with you.
- Use your piece of paper & pen to write down the below spell.
- You can change any part of it or even write you own if you want.
- Light your candle & place it in the middle of the circle.
- Recite the below as many times as needed, you will feel when the energy is right.
- Leave the spell candle to burn itself out (if practical however with familiars it often isn't).
- Close you circle (this can be done before the spell candle burns itself out).
